Tanoshi Randy & Shelley Knapp

Tanoshi was an open edition handheld scope that was made for a number of years.  They were signed, numbered and dated.  I have one that is signed “Knapp   2015   #T142”.  So, there were quite a number made.  Tanoshi means “enjoyable” in Japanese.

The barrels are hand turned of domestic and imported exotic woods.  The eyepiece and the turning end are black and ornamentally turned.

The object cell is a fluid cell, side lit with a black background and contains flame worked glass made by both Randy and Shelley.  They came in either bright or pastel images.

They have a 2 mirror, 5 pointed tapered mirror system.
