SK-8 Rodney Haug

The SK-8 was actually the first of the SK series. SK is supposed to stand for “simple kaleidoscope”. I named it SK-8 because it happened to be approximately the eighth design of the larger scopes I had been building and I decided to use skateboard wheels for the object chamber carriage. And so the SK-8 was born.
It is a large parlour scope with 6×16 inch mirrors and a 12 inch object chamber with lamp worked glass pieces. This gives a large bright image.
