This was the third version of Shockra. The first was a turned wood open edition version in 1993, the second was the veneer covered production version from 1993-1995 and then this painted PVC body production version in 1995. All the versions had a fluid filled cell with a black background and dichroic windows containing flame worked glass in a pastel palette and had a 2 mirror/ 8-point mirror system. All the Shockra series were dedicated to “A Continuing Reflection of Friendship” between Randy and Shelley Knapp and Dave and Sherry Moser who acted as mentors when Randy started making kaleidoscopes.
This kaleidoscope has the body painted with a magenta marbelized paint with dark gray anodized machined aluminum ends. The side of the eyepiece end is stamped “Shelley Knapp Kaleidoscopes” and the clear side of the cell is inscribed “SK 95”.
