Prismerized Randy & Shelley Knapp

Prismerized was a limited edition of 100.  It has the usual stamping on the side of the eyepiece end that says, “Shelley Knapp Kaleidoscopes”, but it also has etched on the clear side of the cell “SK 96 #60”.  The writing is very light.

The PVC barrel is painted a multicolor metallic flake paint and has black anodized machined aluminum ends.

The turning end has a fluid filled cell; side lit with a black background.

The cell contains dichroic, and a few pieces of white flame worked glass.  There is a prismatic filter that creates a rainbow of color that is really the dominant feature of the image.  As you look through the kaleidoscope, you occasionally get flashes of bright rainbow color from the prismatic filter.

It has a 2 mirror, 6-point mirror system.
