The Garden in Spring is a limited edition of 7, named, signed, numbered and dated. It was the first of the large pedestal kaleidoscope series. It has a fused and slumped glass front and back and viewing side attached to a wooden framework. It is attached to a substantial walnut base with wooden side supports that allow the kaleidoscope to pivot and be supported by a wooden prop so it can be looked through in a more normal parlor scope type fashion. The kaleidoscope comes with two interchangeable fluid filled cells with black backgrounds. They attach to the kaleidoscope with magnets. The second cell is stored in a recess in the base of the kaleidoscope. The cells contain flame sculpted glass made by Peggy including miniature flowers. It has a 2M/7P mirror system with a large viewing aperture.
