Biography/Artist Statement

Stephen Hopkins is an experienced wood artist who creates the beautifully crafted exteriors, as well as the mirror systems. He has been making kaleidoscopes for over 25 years. His wife. Sherry, is a watercolor artist who is now creating the lamp-worked pieces and found-item object cells. After individually completing our life careers, we found each other and embraced the different ways in which we saw the world. This was expressed in the first kaleidoscope we made together in which two people look at the same object and see it differently.
