If you will be in the Memphis, TN area this weekend, you have a unique opportunity to meet many of the world's best kaleidoscope artists and experience their incredibly beautiful work. The Brewster Kaleidoscope Society's Annual Convention will be held this week at the Peabody Hotel, and the showroom will be open to the public on Saturday, May 12 (10am - 5pm) and Sunday, May 13 (11:30am - 4pm).

Back in March Lief Carlson gave a demonstration on how to make a teleidoscope to the Grand Valley Woodturning Club in Grand Junction, CO. He brought a few finished mirror assemblies with matching marbles as well as a little info sheet with a few basic supply resources should there be any interest. . He was hoping that by getting a nice finished scope their first few tries it would encourage them to look into making scopes more and it looks like they have, with the glitter wands as well!
